Certaines personnes affirment que les vaccins contre la COVID-19 pourraient provoquer le développement de maladies auto-immunes.

Plus de 13 milliards de doses de vaccins contre la COVID-19 ont été administrées et aucun lien de causalité n’a été démontré. En revanche, il a été démontré que la COVID-19 augmente les risques de développer des maladies auto-immunes, tout comme plusieurs autres infections. La vaccination semble diminuer le risque de développer des maladies auto-immunes à la suite d’une infection.
Bien que la vaccination ne soit jamais sans risque, elle reste la mesure la plus sûre et la plus efficace pour se protéger contre les symptômes graves de la COVID-19.
