June marks the start of Pride season 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️.

Pride season is about celebrating and coming together to showcase the talent, resilience, and contributions of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities (12).

Pride events are important tools in the fight for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights. They are empowering as they give us opportunities to speak up and call out inequities. They are also a good reminder that rights should never be taken for granted (13).

Unfortunately, the struggles and challenges of members of the LGBTQ+ communities won’t end with pride season next September. The fight for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, for civil rights, is a constant fight – one that the community can’t win without allies (4).

Whether you are starting your journey toward allyship or simply trying to be better at it, we hope you will find useful information in this post.

Don’t forget that the key of allyship is to be open to learning.
