STIs don’t care who you are sleeping with, how sexually active you are, or what you look like. If you are a human, you can get an STI. It is that simple.

The key to getting the best Safe Sex Summer of your life is to effectively protect yourself and get regular screenings. This is important as symptoms of an STI are not always obvious or even present.

STIs are nothing to be ashamed of. They are just like any other infection. They should still be avoided as much as possible as they can lead to serious health issues.

Talk with your healthcare provider about protection, testing, and screening.
